"Changing Light over the Rockies"
I took this photograph while in Park City, Utah, for the 2013 Combustion conference. Arriving a day early gave me some time to explore the area, which I hadn't been to since I was a young kid. As luck would have it, the day I was given was full of interesting weather. I woke up to an unexpected light dusting of snow, which turned into an intermittent misting as the day progressed. The thick, moisture-filled clouds were low enough to add a sense of drama to the landscape, but scattered enough to allow for sunlight to still peek through, marbling the mountains with gold.
